Lunch can be a tricky meal if you are gluten intolerant. While most of the lunching world is happily eating a sandwich, you must avoid bread because it’s made from wheat which contains gluten. In fact, it’s gluten that holds bread together. So, no gluten means no bread. Yes, there are gluten-free breads available but they can be expensive and some of them don’t taste that great either.
Being mildly gluten intolerant myself, I feel your pain. For years, I ate bread for lunch and then spent every afternoon feeling bloated. But, like a lot of people, I wasn’t sure what else to have for my midday meal so I suffered the bloat and ate bread anyway.
One day, I decided enough was enough and it was time to make my lunch gluten-free and boy, am I glad I did. Giving up bread might not be easy but if you are sensitive to gluten, skipping your daily bread fix can make all the difference to how you look and feel.
